92 honda power steering fluid press?

I'm trying to flush my PS, and I'd rather not use pricey special honda PS fluid to do it. I'm ok near doing a final flush and fill near the honda stuff, but I'm wondering about using something similar to AT dexron fluid or a solvent of some kind. The pump seem fine, but the PS isn't working. Also...does anyone know when or how the bypass to the cooling tubes on the PS operates? Is it by fluid temp?
And while I'm at it...does a unsullied rack come with the spigot body for the PS, or do I need to buy that separately?

I know at hand is some Honda wizard out there who know all give or take a few this...

Answers:    Just get the Honda fluid its easier and cheaper than replacing the power steering pump.
Some vehicle require convinced type of fluid or lube to properly work. Follow those guidelines with caustion to trying to budge cheap it will come back on ya and cost you more contained by the long run.
Honda PS does not work with ATF or most of PS fluid because it requires secondary additive. If you want to try aftermarket stuff, net sure it is marked as Honda compatible. I would purely get Honda PS because you cannot run wrong with the fluid.
using other brand fluidsare fine check your owners instruction manual
for what is required most of the ps fluids are the same beside same requirement for you transmission
