Answers: yes, the 4.0 would bolt up to the 5 speed. All jeeps enjoy the same bolt guide. The only entity is that if it doesnt use a carb, you will be into alot of electrical and computer switching
Don't know about the 4.0L, but I have a blast driving my 2.5L 5-speed... I thought it was fun.
