Answers: attractive car, bleak engine. I would stay away from it. They had doomed to failure camshafts and start ticking, $$$$$$$$$$ to fix
Yes they are a nice looking car, but that 6 cylinder is a peice of refuse. It is a reanult engine.
the prv v6 was not a markedly good engine [gutless and prone to cam let-down, braking timing chains and overheating] and was never really smooth running. however duplicate basic engine [direct bolt in] beside many improvements be used in renault/eagle premier/dodge monaco the o.e. fuel injection is thoroughly adaptable into the volvo
this thoughtful of swap is fairly expensive and no other coup¨¦ would be worth it except a bertone. and no 10 grand is probabley just about right for one of these good luck and because you articulate low miles, if you baby it that behind the times v6 may last a while however.
good luck and enjoy fun. neat saloon.
Volvo's V6 was a integrated venture between Volvo, Renault and Peugeot. It turned out to be unreliable and outstandingly expensive to repair. Although the Bertone is a very nice saloon and really unique contained by several ways, the V6 engine detracts from it in a big track. And $10,000? That's way too much. Even a Bertone 4-cylinder turbo isn't worth that much.
