What can i do to upgrade my 91 toyota pickup near a 2.4L engine?

Everything in my truck is stock,whith a 22RE engine and want too know what things can i do to upgrade besides switching out the engine?

Answers:    I would hold to agree with Hannah Loving Lewis Baybiie, that's why you see so oodles little boys driving Honda's with BIG Fart can's. BUT, that is to say not the case beside the Toyota Pickup. Since it's a Pickup truck, you need the power to heave real loads! I would start near a compression test and verbs to better air flow and fuel.
