Answers:    get an H22 engine swap..it is just about 2G.
You wont get it done for that price. The best engine for your union is the 97+ prelude H22A motor. Keeping it 97+ means that it is going to be OBD2 and you wont own to change the motor or electrical system to accept the engine. The motor/tranny can be bought for in the order of $1,300, and you will need the axles, motor/tranny mounts, shift linkage, and ECU. Also make sure you bring back one with a COMPLETE electrics harness so all that requirements to be done is unplug the main harness and plug the alien one in. All total if you can find someone that have done this before you can expect around $1,700-$2,000. It is pretty straight forward on this saloon and not too difficult.
