Answers: Sounds as though you have a bleak starter bendix (part that holds the gear that engages the flywheel).
You can replace the bendix or capture a complete starter. Remove the old starter, install brand new bendix or new starter. Shouldn't hold any problems after that.
In the meantime, you can try tapping the starter next to a hammer while someone turns the switch (sometimes works to free the bendix).
