'04 Pontiac Grand Prix Not Starting?

When I put the key surrounded by my 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix it starts and then shuts sour. It takes 2-3 trys to start the engine. The vehicle has 85,000 miles on it. What is the problem?

Answers:    It could possibbly be a frail fuel pump if it is not carrying enough pressure it could explanation it to be hard starting. Could be alot of things. Your best bet is to put it on a scanner so you can keep under surveillance the electrical side of the car, Check the ignition side of the vehicle. It could also be a partially plugged catalatc converter. start beside the scanner go from in attendance somthin will pop up. Start with the simple stuff first. If you don't own access to a scanner try a fuel filter first. That gets over looked plentifully.
Sounds like the financial guarantee system is not functioning properly. Have your key chip checked at the contractor.
