1996 Ford Taurus GL AC/Heat Problem...?

1996 Ford Taurus GL produces no heat or cool nouns.

Air motor responds to all four speed control settings beside a low to high pitch whirr, but no air is moved. Engine warmth normal even for extended driving period [hours of driving]. On AC setting, it sounds like compressor is engage.

Just before it stopped working it sounded similar to something in the upper air system was bang around. Now, it occasionally will bang around some more, but still short moving any air [hot or cold].

My ignorant guess is that the fan/blower has stopped turning or is tatty, or there is a belt that help this fan/blower to turn which has broken/come unattached.

Any proposal will be greatly appreciated.

Answers:    The blower wheel, or squirrel hold as its called, have split at the center and the motor shaft is spinning in the middle short turning it. Replace it and you will have nouns again.
