Will the flipside expiration out of a 92 thunderbird fit lower than a 1980 mustang?

were are currently looking for a rearend for a 80 mustang coupe, we come across a 92 thunderbird, we are wondering if they would interchange even thought the thunderbird is a 5 lug car. If so what other parts do you muse we will need? gratefulness for your answers.

Answers:    Nothing is going to match up.

Prove it by looking within the parts book, service parts counter.

There could be exceptions
i doubt it would be a bolt in swap giving the difference surrounded by years
I don`t think so. My interchange solitary shows mustang and cougar 80-87. The tbird is not interchangable. You can try here for a used one.http://www.car-part.com/index.htm...
no it won't fit . on the body frame is not the same . to far apart surrounded by years and make
totally different t bird is independent suspension...mustang is palm leaf spring live axle...
the t-bird has an independent reverse suspension . the only course it is gonna fit on your stang if you replace the whole final half of your stang next to the one of the T-bird . yor stang got a live axle. wont work
Not extraordinarily easily, you want one from a Mustang. The 83-88 T-Bird/Cougars are a bit wider aand the 89-up T-Bird/Cougars use an IRS system that is nought like the solid axle within your car.
You inevitability one from a 79-93 Mustang to be a direct bolt in. 86-93 V8 cars enjoy the stronger 8.8 rearend.
