i have two component speakers in rear legs and two two-ways in front. i want to run those to a 4 channel amp next to about 150 watts per channel. 150 going to respectively speaker. i also have a mono 1000 watt class d amp i want going to my 15 inch sub. now i want to attach 4 tweeters, and i'm wondering if i can just run my head unit amp power which is like 50x4 too just the tweeters. can i run the 4 ditch to the speakers in the front and back, and the mono to the sub, and the go before unit watts strictly too the tweets?
Answers: "the head part watts strictly too the tweets" is perfect. Too much power to tweets and it's ear piercing as one guy suggests.
Rotus, are you kidding me, 150 watts to tweets?!?!?
You should if you own a quality deck
yes you can.
Run your tweeters from a crossover coming from the four channel amp. Your system will nouns much better if each speaker is not being overpowered by frequencies it can not reproduce. For example, powered output from your headunit to your tweets will be paid them sound crackley because the tweeters can not reproduce mid-low freq.
