Answers:    If it is a JVC cd player it is because the heatsync is too small on the radio, and can not disperse the fry efficiently.

If it is another brand, try a laser lens cleaner. Other than that you might enjoy to take it to a stereo shop and ask them to give somebody a lift a look at it for you.
