Alpine Type R 12" and Kenwood 1800, will these two work fine?

ok i am gonna get one 12" alpine type r and one kenwood 1800 watt amp

heres surrounded by detail which one is which and like i merely wanna make sure these two will work without blemish with eachother.. i know the amp is a bit more powerful than i entail but i just wanna breed sure it works before i buy em

next im gonna take it to similar to audio express or best buy and have em find a box and then install it....

but freshly tell me if those two will work fine and will it hit solid hard

Answers:    The amp is to much power for that sub.

The sub is Dual Voice Coil (DVC) so that means it can be wired into a 2 or 8 ohm nouns on the amp. You would have to chain that sub up to a 2 ohm load on the amp which would be 900w rms which is nearly twice as much power as the rms of the sub.

You should any look for a new amp to be precise 500w rms @ 2 ohms. If you wanted to preserve that amp look for a new sub to be exact either 2 ohm DVC (Alpine Type R model SWR-1222D if you needed the same sub) or is 4 ohms Single Voice Coil.
