Just bought a 2005 car.........but the eclipse deck doesn't work. lights up, beep, but does no functions............keeps displaying SEC.....after a bunch of numbers and letters......it's BUGGING ME.........be told they have a built surrounded by theft device which won't allow them to play if messed next to.... not sure if you......Lemme know.....or lemme know how to fix this mess......10 points to best answer and a sincere thank-you.
Answers: Eclipse uses a CD-based security code and you enjoy to purposely set it. You aren't suppose to play the CD after that, only keep it surrounded by a safe place.
If you don't hold (or know) the CD, you can ring Eclipse technical support and they will recount you how to reset it. That is, if you sent in the registration card when you purchased it. If you didn't, you may be out of luck.
