I want to setup a sound system within my basement that will shake my foundation and net my dinner guest cry. :)

I want to play music (CDs and audip files off a computer. I also want to enjoy a Karaoke option.

Please comfort with speakers, amplifoiers, and common setup

I say the logitech Z-5500 or Creative Mega-works 550 or S750. trust me they shake! the logitech is honest for bass but the creative's have better nouns to me. but the bass is good.
