Right now for the sake of simplicity, I am going to use a mono amp and one dual voice coil subwoofer.
Ok so I own a mono 1600w @ 2ohms amplifier.
I have one 15" dvc 1600w max subwoofer
the sub have two 4ohm voice coils, which equals 2 ohms, perfect for the amp.
Now if I plug within both voice coils to the same output on the 2ohm mono amplifier, and turn it adjectives the way up, will respectively voice coil be receiving the full 1600 watts, or will the amp divide the power so they receive simply 800 watts per voice coil?
Answers: First, you state the sub is 1600w max, you best look at the RMS of both and make sure the RMS of the amp doesn't exceed the RMS of the sub by more than 10%.
The sub will bring back the whole 1600 watts, the power is divided among the coils.
If your total system power is 1000 watts RMS or more, you will involve to:
1. Upgrade the alternator to a high output alternator
2. Upgrade to a unwieldy duty deep cycle freestyle
3. Upgrade the "Big 3" - that is to replace the power lead between the battery and alternator, the ground from the battery-operated to the chassis and the ground strap from the engine/tranny to the chassis with at least possible 1/0 AWG wire.
Failure to do this will result contained by you replacing them anyway as the alternator will eventually fail.

A second freestyle is never a good thought as it's an added strain on the alternator to charge two batteries AND supply power for the saloon. The ONLY time a second battery is adjectives is if the audio system is to be used with the sports car off.
A sou`wester is only perfect so far as the audio system isn't trying to pull too much from the electrical system. A trilby doesn't provide more power, it's designed to 'stiffen' the voltage to the amp, nothing esle. If the current isn't here, a cap won't give a hand. The alternator must have at tiniest 20% more amperage power than the entire vehicle and sound system combined for a hat to be of benefit which is ironically the same requirements for an amp to be reorganized.

First you had better find out if you hold a big enough alternator and mobile to push that much amp, if not your battery-operated will die faster than a blonde joke at a aesthetic contest!
