I also own 2 amps...don't know why
Answers: They used only a 2 conduit amp to run all the door speakers and run it off the front culvert output on the radio.. I would not call this workshy, or stupid. I had this set up on my final car. They run the left side of the saloon on the left pipe, and right side front and rear on the right trough. The other amp is ran past its sell-by date the subwoofer output, so when the car is faded faded to the flipside no volume is sent to the front output, thus no sound to the coup¨¦, only the subwoofer. The solitary thing wrong beside this is that you cant fade from front to rear, but it the nouns will still work in stereo because of the right and disappeared channels.
Sounds similar to somebody was stagnant while doing the install. Either they didnt want to replace the head part to get a sub output or be to cheap to buy a line even converter to hook the sub amp to. They probably hooked it up like that to hold some way to control the sub output in need affecting the volume on the other speakers or having to go and get out, go around backbone and fiddle beside the amp gain.
*UPDATE*
Sounds like they didnt know what they be doing then because any mid to giant end heir like that will own a sub output with a nice sub even control and adjustable sub x-over built right into the head element.
Definately some rookies :)
hes not saying the 2 guide amp is stupid, i do that too. hes saying the guy be lazy and used a line-level converter instead of rca's. lol to be exact really dumb, rca's wouldve been easier. in recent times buy some rca's and run them to your amps, and get rid of the god-awful line-level converter. also, you enjoy two amps because one is powering your sub, and the other one is powering your door speakers and tweeters.
