Have you ever installed a cd player into an elder vehicle?

its a 1990 mercury grand marquis, i have to buy a wiring tackle to adapt the cd player to the outdated skool car gear but the cd player wont turn on. any concept? thanks.


Answers:    You will obligation to check the power wires obviously. Also check to see if the fuse is installed on the disc units power chain. The stereo may have two power wires. One for the crucial power and one for the stereos memory.

I have other found it better to run new speaker wires for elder cars. New & Thicker speaker wires will give you a better ability sound. Also it's easier to install. All you requirement for the car is your constant 12volt, switch 12volt, and ground. Here is the chain colors for your car, if you want to get that route.
