Soldering Sub Box Speaker Terminals?

So, i bought a sub box this week, found out that the wiring be too weak for the subs that i bought, and want to unsolder the wiring already contained by there and later solder in trial 12 gauge lead. does it matter what munificent of solder that i use or can i pretty much use any kind of solder that i want? gratitude.

Answers:    You're not building a rocket ship, just use regular solder and you'll definitly be okay.
for that type of application, I would speak just in the order of any solder would work.
I suggest using Silver Bearing Solder. It's the best instead of the tin/lead mix stuff. Makes better connections and is easier to work with as it have a lower melting point. You can bring back it at Radio Shack.

better yet if you dont want to soilder the chain to the box, cut off a devout length of the plastic shielding on the speaker wire, and wrap it a few times around the terminal. this should solve the problem and it wont come sour. good luck!
lol wrap it a few times? dont rig it. solder it.
