Can i use a power antenna lead for remote turn on of my amp?

currentley i have a remote cable on my head component which turns on and off the amp contained by the boot, i have only bought a new cranium unit which doesnt hold the remote wire, the merely usable wire in attendance i can see is the power antenna, if i do use the power antenna as a remote, do i need to disable the power cable to the amp or can it be vanished?

Answers:    Its the same flex. Most units hold the same "remote" or antenna rope. Most of the time this wire is blue and can be used for both amp remotes and antennas, sometimes simultaneously.
You can use the antenna front as your remote wire and the antenna. All it does is supply 12V when the guide unit is turned on.
