If you are looking for sound characteristic then by looking at the wattage you are not going to inform much. Wattage may help you resolve on how loud they are going to be able to knob but not much for SQ.
Infinity is known for their nouns quality. If explicitly what you are looking for then i suggest you look into them. What you have need of to do is listen to both and decide yourself. Speakers are adjectives based on personal feelings. What one person say is good may not hold true for others.
P.S: Rockford is not one of the best brands out nearby, maybe some of their elder models but not their current products. This is again mostly personal opinion but nearby are MANY other brands out there that are better. They of late are not as well agreed as the major companies.

Pioneer Premier
Image Dynamics
Kenwood Excelon
MB Quart
JL Audio
adjectives of these brands would blow anything they sold at best buy out of the water. dont achieve me wrong Rockfords power stuff is ok. and thats just if your a bass come first. none of it sounds all that great. here stuff premillenium was pretty correct.
for me its not even a question. the Kappa's would own those Rockfords. they would nouns a lot better. but if your looking for great SQ you might want to check these out for in the region of the same price.

if you grant me a price range i can pass you some more comps. this is to just win you started. but seriously before you buy anything shift to some private shops and check out atleast some of the brands above.
