Subwoofer power probs...?

I have a 900 watt amp (bridged) and a memphis mojo 12" sub... hermetically sealed enclosure.
the memphis sub is 1000 watts rms 2000 watts summit.
it's a dual voice coil sub.
when the music is up a little it have great bass... up more the amp seems to
"cut out" and the actual sub make a weird clang noise..

do i newly need more power to the sub?
i put the amp on a freestyle charger and with the amp nearly adjectives the way down it draws over 12 volts on the meter.

possibly a capaciter and a bigger amp?
what could fix this annoying rattle?

Answers:    i'm not sure more or less the rattle, but the amp adjectives out could be either a doomed to failure ground, a ground wire to be precise too small of a gage, or a power wire specifically too small of a gage.

i hope ya figure it out!
hey i consider one of the voice coils in the sub is blown out. u might necessitate a new sub. i have a similar problem b4.
