I've worked with kicker subs for olden times two years and my honest answer is that the kicker comps suck...
If your going to buy kicker at least opt for the kicker cvr
it handle more power and the woofer just sounds better.
theres other the possibility of expanding in the adjectives if you opt for the cvr now... within the future you could buy a fresh bigger amp, buy anothe cvr and put your old amp on your door speakers.
If you want one polite sub, a JL audio 8w7 will hit hard and loud within a ported box. I had one surrounded by my old saloon (06 RSX) and will put another one in the vehicle, the benefit to the 8" is that it uses less power for best moment performance. Try it out.
