Am I lower than powering my subs?

I have 2 12'' kicker cvr's, i suggest they are the 4-ohm which gives me 8, but they are wired down to 4. Im pushing them beside a 300W RMS alpine amp. The bass sounds pretty good, but doesnt nouns crisp like I want it to. I know a know set of speakers would help, but the bass should nouns more clean. do i have need of more power?

Answers:    that amp is 300W rms at 2 ohms you are running them at 4 your pulling at best 75watts a sub rms on on those if i remember is 350w rms 700 max? somthing around that you are way below powering them witch is just as unpromising as over powering them get a biger amp of different duet of subs you want some bang for your buck buy some lansar max 12's or 10's me and my room mate open a stero shop " just a course for us to get cheap stuff" lol we really dont put up for sale to to many population but have rather shop guy buy stuff and make it loud.. but ya we put 4 lanzar max 10's within a cavalier on 1000 watts 250w each and posted a 142.3 witch for the toltal build cost of below $200 if very inpressive so best of luck to you man
im not a stereo expert but sometimes the stereo may hold backbone on sound of the subs.

i have an two 12's in my ride next to my stock stereo and it sounded kikass, but when i decided to upgrade my stereo it sounded approaching crap...
