A cap will NOT prevent headlight dimming. A sunhat just stores perkiness. If the cap does not hold enough strength to store, from an inediquite charging system, then it will do you no pious. Your headlights will continue to dim, although they may dim at a different time which is sometimes why those think cap are working.
IMO spend your money on something else. There are SO many better things to spend your money on afterwards a cap.
If your total system power is 1000 watts RMS or more, you will call for to:
1. Upgrade the alternator to a high output alternator
2. Upgrade to a chunky duty deep cycle mobile
3. Upgrade the "Big 3" - that is to replace the power cable between the battery and alternator, the ground from the mobile to the chassis and the ground strap from the engine/tranny to the chassis with at most minuscule 1/0 AWG wire.
Failure to do this will result within you replacing them anyway as the alternator will eventually fail.

A second battery-operated is never a good thought as it's an added strain on the alternator to charge two batteries AND supply power for the coup¨¦. The ONLY time a second battery is adjectives is if the audio system is to be used with the coup¨¦ off.
A capacitor is with the sole purpose good so far as the audio system isn't trying to verbs too much from the electrical system. A cap doesn't provide more power, it's designed to 'stiffen' the voltage to the amp, nought esle. If the current isn't there, a panama won't help. The alternator must own at least 20% more amperage power than the entire vehicle and nouns system combined for a cap to be of benefit which is ironically like requirements for an amp to be efficient.
