You must use an inverter. Everything about sports car DC and your home theater AC are incompatible. If you don't want to use an inverter you could use a nice big heavy rotary converter but they enjoy been outmoded for years.
You could put 14 batteries surrounded by series. You need the extra voltage because it will want the culmination voltage, not RMS. A lot of electronic power circuits these days could cheerfully run on 170VDC in assumption if they are switch mode. BUT 170V DC is way more hazardous than 120V AC and you would have need of a qualified engineer to check the circuit because putting 170VDC into the wrong description of PSU will melt it down.
You own no choice. Use an inverter.
The only other method around this would be to bypass the power supply unit inside the home drama, work out what DC voltage the main board uses, and supply this.

Wow rotary converters (answer above) I enjoy used these in a couple of military applications where on earth really clean power be required. But you are right for most applications, they are obsolete and unreliable and noisey and expensive etc etc.
Also please humiliate the second paragraph of the answer above. Your home theatre is designed to work on AC power. The internals work on DC. The first item inside your home theatre is a power supply, and the first article inside that is a transformer. TRANSFORMERS DON'T WORK ON AC. If you connect a nouns of batteries contained by series and connect them to the mains chord NOTHING WILL HAPPEN except that the primary windings of the transformer will obtain hot and maybe you will blow a fuse but (except for the moment you connect the power and the moment you disconect the power where on earth you will get a tiny blip) you will not see one single solitary volt at the outlet of the power supply.
If you want to know why, post the query "how does a transformer work ?" in the meantime do not try it because IT WILL NOT WORK.
