12" subwoofer ring assistance? (Professionals please)?

I know next to nil when it comes to subwoofer enclosures. What would be the best bits and pieces to build one out of? I have two Sony Xplods model XS-L120P5W. What would be the best dimensions for the box and what would work better, ported or hermetically sealed?

Answers:    You should use MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard) to build your enclosure. For glueing the pieces together you can receive either wood paste or liquid nail works really well.

For finding out what coop to build you should look at the manufacturer recommendation. They should have them contained by your manual along next to the recommended volume(s). The easiest to build is going to be a sealed ring. They are very forgiving and can be simply made. For a ported coop you will need some experience to numeral out the dimensions. You would also need to mind your Ps and Qs to get adjectives of the measurements correct. Ported enclosures are not greatly forgiving like hermetic are.

Good Luck!
Most boxes are made of either MDF wood or Fiberglass. Being a neophyte I would say particularly MDF. I'd go beside between 5/8" to 3/4". The subs should have recommended internal volume which is how much nouns is inside of the box. Depending on how much room you have, a hermetically sealed box is going to be smaller and a
ported or vented box is going to be more or less double in size. Definitely start out beside a rectangle shape box because that is the easiest.
