Is my capacitor supposed to stay on after i turn my saloon past its sell-by date?

i purchased a 3 frad capacitor and hooked it up to my amp. After i turn off the sports car my cap. stays on. is it supposed to do that or do i own something messed up. i dont want to kill my mobile. im a busy person and the finishing thing i obligation is to wake up to a truck inoperative.


Answers:    A capacitor does not cause a drain, it holds a charge.

It should discharge after a notion called a time constant. The time it take a Cap to discharge!! If after a period of time it doesnt than i would verbs that its draining your battery!! Like a tech i would look into this..
