3 of my speakers are blown out, it's both the side panel speakers in the front door, and one the the mini speakers mounted by the windshield on the driver side door. It have the infinity sound system within it with the amp mounted within the door (or so I've heard). Anyways my question is can I a short time ago replace these speakers with some aftermarket ones from let's articulate bestbuy or something? Or does it have to be the Infinity speakers?
From what I take to mean the speakers in the door are 6'' 3/4' , anyone hold any idea what that small speaker is by the windshield. Are they newly tweeters?
Thanks in finance!
Answers: The 6 3/4 speakers can be replaced with 6 1/2 speakers. They come near a bracket to mount them in the 6 3/4 space. The smaller ones by the windshield should just be tweeters. My suggestion is to buy a component set to replace these. Get another infinity system. These are excellent speakers and you wont be dissapointed.
The little speaker by the windshield is a tweeter. You can opt to buy Component speakers which are high priced than your basic coaxial speakers.
"Components" nouns better. The only piece is you have a stock amp surrounded by your car for stock speaker setup. This can be a serious twinge for aftermarket component speakers. If you know what your doing you can by-pass the amp and get the Components to work. Also sometimes the aftermarket tweeters that come next to the Component setup won't fit the stock place the current tweeter is.
Your best bet would be to talk to a local Car audio shop. Or you can check out http://www.crutchfield.com or http://www.sounddomain.com
Good Luck.
