Answers: Tomtom are trash, i put on the market satnavs for a living and i would not recommend.
How many times own you heard citizens complain about individual sent down country lanes etc.
The problem next to tomtom is they use their own maps, usually 2-3 years down the competition in their correctness.
As you may be aware they have only launched (Mapshare)
they claim to put you surrounded by touch with millions of other tomtom users to administer more accurate maps.
The problem next to this is that they rely on the public to update their maps for free, however they enjoy admitted near are limitations making it relitavely useless

In honesty i find the more involved models far superior.
Becker Traffic Pro & Blaupunkt are better.
They may not have the best user interface. but the map info and directions are more accurate.
I used a blaupunkt travelpilot for 3 months to demo and i found it to be excellent. The input system seem a little on the slow side but once programmed it perform without defect on 99% of journeys.
Many times i enter just the post code and on adjectives times i was inside 20yds of my destination.
I would advise to look for models introducing TMC, this is the traffic message ditch, this is broadcast simultaniously over classic fm and provides up to date information on traffic alerts by the highways agency and trafficmaster.
If an incident arises on route it will alert you and furnish you an alternative route option.
it may nouns gimmicky but it really can be very adjectives if used wisely.
Forget ones next to bluetooth handsfree and the likes as they are useless. stick to in recent times satnavs with moral options.
Tom Tom they are excellent could not be minus it unbelievably good
