Answers: They work great, if used correctly. They are designed to stop bass at certain freq. So if you know what freqs. you looked-for blocked to prevent distortion then you will be extraordinarily satisfied beside them.
Bass blockers keep the bass out of smaller speakers that weren't designed to button bass.
For instance, lets influence you have 2 12" subwoofers contained by the back of your vehicle and some 6" mids in your doors and tweeters mounted to the upper bit of the doors. Bass blockers, when connected to the tweeters keep the bass out of the tweeters so they are merely doing what they are supposed to. If you decide not to put them within your car your tweeter may try to put out bass, which they are not designed for. This could lead to the tweeter to bust in the worst shield senerio but in the long run will basically affect the tweeters overall performance. Bass is not the tweeters available job, its your mid's and low's job and bass blockers save it that way.
they work great... you own a wrangler right? well if you shift with a bit larger speaker (see my respnse on the other question) and you amplify it beside a amp, often times they own a HP or high surpass filter often around 80hz. i enjoy mine hooked with a 80hz elevated pass and at hand is no distortion and i put about 60-70 watts respectively to them. but of course it depends on your speakers..
