Car Amp gone?

Today i was driving along, listen to my music, all of a sudden my subwoofer stops working and i check the amp and nearby is no more power. i checked all the electrical system and its all fine but i dont know what might be the problem? if i replace the fuse would that possible fix it? another entry is i did replace it with a fuse equal wattage but the new fuse are caring of bigger but it goes surrounded by and all but it still doesnt turn on. whats the problem? The amplifier is a 1600w amp going to 2 12'' Subwoofers

Answers:    First stale the amp isn't 1600 watts. That's the peak power.
Peak or MAX power is an arbitrary number next to no real standard of height. Go by RMS power.

How do you have the amp loaded? Is it bridged?

Improper loading can effect problems.

Check the REM for 12 volts when the amp is supposed to be on.

dude it could be a list of things try checking the amp turn on front wire its usually blue from the stereo or conceivably the amp overheated and shut itself down this will happen short blowing a fuse finally check power wire near a voltage meter and make sure amp is grounded right did you try turning vehicle off later on this usually resets the amp and it should turn on if its still not working check speakers possibly there blown this to be sure is the case if amp lights up and nearby is no sound from speaker.
