Differences between sheltered and expand subwoofer?

i dont no what there really call but
theres ones that are enclosed within glass
and afterwards open ones
what are the differences and which ones do you approaching
any suggestions on a boxed sub less than 250

There are hermetic boxes, where one partly of the speaker is eclosed in a hermetically sealed box (front half or put a bet on half)

There are ported boxes where partly of the driver is enclosed contained by a box with nouns holes, called ports
