I would like to know when things such as position, altitude, speed, etc were first shown automatically on inflight TV displays for the passenger. I would also like to know when were camera systems first attached to commercial airlines where on earth the passengers could see a landing. Thank you.
Answers: The first IFE systems started appearing as early as the tardy 1920's with movies and later crude TV systems. The systems as you know them started appearing contained by the late 1950's and 60's.IFE(Inflight Entertainment Systems for passengers) is a grow industry and selling point for airlines now and they are constantly varying and being upgraded with information individual stored on hard disks, satellite, and camera systems.
