Answers: I'm guessing Republic Airways. From what I've heard of them, they would hire anyone next to a pulse. Perhaps he's telling the truth. I believe they are based within Indianapolis. You probably havn't heard of Republic either, as close to many other regional carriers, they fly for other airlines. 18 an hour sounds more or less right. Of course, that is really low. You see, flight attendants usually work under 100 hours a month, since much of your time is taken up doing things that you don't return with paid for. You are only compensated when the aircraft is away from the gate. Pilots are paid like peas in a pod way, although more than FA's. Has he completed training yet? That will be the material test. If he has no CS skills, he may not go by the test. The training for FA's is pretty tough. Now, if in six weeks he starts going away for work at odd hours in a uniform, after you will know he was telling the truth. I would loaf and see.

Disclaimer: many flight attendants are wonderful, compassionate and very customer service oriented relatives. But, a few are not very sharp, or even nice. The airlines used to hire based on looks and self-image, but that's no longer the case, at least contained by the US. I just looked up the Republic website, and it says you enjoy to pass a drug/alcohol test, be capable of lift 70 lbs, and pass a 10 year backround oral exam. You can have HS or a GED. It's not a very tough position to get, as few people can feel the schedule. It is a fun job, but not graceful if you have a family or any bills to rate.
That doesn't seem likely he could parkland that job unless he personally know the people working there. And even still I'm sure they wouldn't hire him.
Anyways for a peace of mind (cause I'm not 100% sure myself) I googled public airlines. No such luck contained by there being any brand by that cross.

However my fiance says it's entirely possible that it's a small company that HE lied to, to get that available job. That he lied through his teeth about the experience.
You might want to let him hit rock bottom on his own, I numeral. My fiance says getting a job is no problem; keeping it is another story. If he wind up losing this job, odds are they figure it out.
FA without studding and making special classes? no way! he have to pass a ten year background check and pretty much no misdemeanors with the sole purpose a slight brush with the law and that could be to much F.A.A. rules
