Need to find the stat of how much fuel burns during take-off within an airplane (plane uses X% of fuel)?

Its an inspirational story about momentum etc... showing that a plane burns deeply of fuel getting up in the atmosphere, but once its up it takes seriously less to keep hold of going

A Beechjet 400 A burns roughly speaking 1500 pounds of fuel in its first hour. That includes take-off and climb to cruising altitude. Once it get to cruising altitude it only burns roughly speaking 1200 pounds per hour as it cruises along.

That's a really rough average, but it gives you an belief of the difference between climb and cruise flight.
hm, the plane I fly burns 2300lbs/hr per engine at takeoff thrust and nearly 630 lbs/hr per engine at cruise. Probably not as dramatic as you're looking for.
