I have a slight diffuculty distinguishing common light colours. I own failed 2 experiment (first one where u want to read the number off of cards and the second one is order the dots by there tone of colour). However I passed a exam at the airport which I name the colours from which the control tower flashes a lighting at me at the end of the runway. I own been told that endorsement this test will automaticly put together me pass my medical nouns and let me fly commercially. However i still touch uncomfterable investing all this money into aviation and wrapping up up getting no job because of this, and i dont even know if the ratification of the airport test will even count (the doctor might be wrong). Can the testing i passed be counted fo all airlines?. Is in that any pilots (preferably Canadian) that are colour blind or slightly colour blind that fly for an airline?.
please post
thank you
Answers: a commercial pilot is a pilot who flies for hire, whether that is as a flight instructor or a cropduster or an airline pilot.
yes, commercial pilots can achieve a license to fly.... now, unsurprisingly, each avenue of career will have their own guidelines as to what they will or will not allow .... I would contact specific airlines first and ask them just about their standards involving colorblindness.
a medical exam is a whole seperate quantity of flying.... your license will not be valid if you do not have a current medical...
My elder brother wanted to fly contained by the Airforce and could not go up due to his color blindness. Until he be tested in the Service, he did not realize he have a problem. If men can not fly for the Airforce, I would hope our regular airline pilots would also be restricted due to being color blind. My brother finished up working in a flight tower for masses years.
