Does anyone know anything about creating a business plan for a Single-Pilot, Single Aircraft 135 Charter Cert.

Question:

Answer:
The National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) and the National Air Transportation Association (NATA) have released a publication titled "Guidelines for Obtaining an FAA Part 135 Air Carrier Certificate".

The guide, comprised of a booklet and easy-to-navigate CD-ROM, is designed to provide a comprehensive overview of the procedures involved in starting an on-demand air charter operation under Part 135 of the Federal Aviation Regulations.

Included in the guide are samples of manuals and forms required in the application process. It also provides Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) information and forms, pilot record sharing documentation and a guide to Customs and Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS) fees and services. The CD-ROM contains links to Web sites where users can check for updates.

The combined expertise of NBAA and NATA demonstrated in this publication will prove invaluable to flight departments that consider offsetting the cost of aircraft ownership by starting a Part 135 operation. This guide covers all of the basic steps for obtaining a Part 135 certificate and points readers in the right direction when they have questions.

For more information or to order Guidelines for Obtaining an FAA Part 135 Air Carrier Certificate, contact NBAA Manager, Safety & Operations Doug Carr at (202) 783-9259 or NATA at (800) 808-6282, or visit the following Web sites: http://www.nbaa.org/ or http://www.nata-online.org

This publication costs $75 for NBAA and NATA Members and $150 for non-Members.
check with the f a a they will point you in right direction also any small airport should have info too
There is a form (several pages long) available that is more or less fill in the blanks for a simple 135 op. It's about 20 years since I filled the last one out, but doubt it's changed much. The GADO will work with you and smooth out any bumps or direct you to someone who can. Not really much to it.
