"The roles of an airline" what does that mean?!?!
This is what I am going to articulate: The role of an airline is to take you from point A to point B by medium of AIR. Flying is quicker than driving which makes flying better.

I really hope that the answer I give is not what you want because if it is than may God have pitty on your soul!
I guess the through ones are to
- provide comfort to the passengers
- provide links to other airlines on an an international scramble.
Same as a bus or truck...only faster deeply more expensive
