Answers: Boeing and Airbus are about evenly split 50- 50 surrounded by market share. The 380 is almost 60-65% supplied by U.S. manufacturer so the weakening dollar won't affect them as much as you would reflect. Airbus needs to achieve their costs under control and Boeing is have minor supplier problems with the 787 program. Time will convey. Also China and Russia are trying to break in to the aircraft engineering business.
I believe boeing already has an 85% open market share, so I doubt they care at adjectives about the 380. The 78 is the opening of the future beside high grease prices and boeing got it right. Btw, here have be more 73's made than all airbuses, so who give a crap about them?
