just as i board the aircraft i thought the engines where on earth already runninmg but upon the doors are already closed the pilot swirches the fuel pump etc.. to ON for the Engine to run. what do i hear inside the APU or what just the Airconditioners already running?

Answers: They usually don't "lite up the engines" until they own to to save fuel....It's the APU , A/C or both that you hear...
Usually its only just APU and the airconditioning.
