Please aid! Any and adjectives warning appreciated!?

I have a black 02 Monte Carlo that I just get in September. I went to the parking lot this morning, looked down,&I saw profusely of white scratch marks on the side of my truck! I looked closer,&essentially, it looked like someone got too close to my motor when they were moving,&they swiped it. There is no dent; however, there are several long and cavernous marks on the side where the bumper connects to the side of the coup¨¦. The scratches are white, and some parts you can see the paint peeling bad. I was angry because number 1, my car is an 02 and looked pretty darn devout! There were no dings in it and lone minor scratches before this happen, now there are those long gross scratches, and white marks on it. Also, the creature left NO note. It be pretty much a hit&run! So my question is, is there any opening that I might be able to take my motor to one of those Auto detailing places, & they can buff the scratches out? Also, approximately how much would it cost to get merely the bumper repainted?

Answers:    Bummer.our cars now have clear coat over the paint. That's what make it shine.Won't buff out.need to repaint.some of these paint guys are really good. I own a 98 Pont GTP...its my toy.someone hit it with a shopping cart.I took it to the agent they are the only ones I trust...but my insurance paid for it...get hit in the parking lot at a local food store.no fault.no increase within premiums.you may want to check it out.
If the scratches aren't too deep they may competent to be buffed out. Anywhere the paint is peeling though wont be able to be fixed so simply. Bumper sculpture costs depend on the rates in your area, only just call a few places and they should be able to afford you a basic estimation. Even if they buff it out, a few car wash and it comes back, unless it's really surface scratched and very buoyant.

Best bet is to have the area re-painted. What you want for them to do is NOT sand it down to exposed metal. You want it roughed up slightly, sprayed and edged into the existing paint, then the entire panel clear coated.

Don't move about to a cheap body shop for this, they'll mess it up and you will be able to see the different colours.
You pry can't buff it out by the way it sounds if the paint is actualy blistering away. As far as cost of getting it repainted jst shop around everywhere is different. It all depends on whether they paint it on the car or hold to remove it and other deciding factors. near is rubbing compound it is white not brown its to rough use the white and follow the directions on the can ok this should take care of it after that use a really appropriate wax such as zymol not the liquid but the paste near on line and its all raw also use the dark color of your paint not the light color wax thats for lighter color paint this is the best wax on the marketplace that i have found and of course in that is mothers, meguires etc i just dont think in that in the same orb park as zymol;.www.zymol.com good luck
sorry about your saloon, someone did the same to my truck.I tried a few things.the touch up paint sucked and rubbing compound will leave swirls.if you in recent times need to get in that paint off of yours, get some honest cleaner wax paste and a terry cloth.otherwise I paid 200 to paint my bumper and I have to remove it myself.good luck.
