Answers: Either you're poorly geared, have tires that provide too much traction...or simply don't know how to do a burn out.
I have a 2000 Firebird, which is simply the same car as yours, and burnouts are no trouble at adjectives. Also, bone stock.
If you're sure you're doing it right
(Manual: clutch, gas, let off clutch, brake. Auto: nonpartisan to 5,000 Rpm, shift into drive, hold brake),
then Traction Control is stopping you. Look for a TCS button and press it.
You better get a tune-up thats not right.
