Do I hold a 305 or 350 motor?

Truck is a 85 silverado longbed. 4bbl carb. Is there a way to make clear to just by looking at it? How can I tell?

All 305's enjoy 5.0 liter cast into the block at the top back where on earth the block joins with the nouns,i cant' remember if its on the left or the right though. check casting numbers on l h side of enginebehind manager i m assuming it does not have emission sticker underneath hood 305 most of the time wil have 5.0 350 will b 509 , 511 but 400 will also b 509,511 400 will also have three freeze plugs on respectively side of engine or flat spot n center wheer third 1 would go 400 also has a pit out of harmonic balancer
