My 2002 Chevy Malibu's dashboard indicator lamp comes on when I start the engine, and again sometimes driving uphill. It looks rectangular, near a horizontal squiggle at the bottom, a down-arrow in the center, and what looks close to a bottleneck top-center. I suspect it's the low-coolant indicator -- ?? -- but I had adjectives the fluid levels checked lately and they're polite.
Am I right about it self the low-coolant indicator?
Any ideas on why it might be coming on?
Answers: Your car's owner's encyclopaedia will probably confirm it's the low coolant level indicator which repeatedly give a false indication. So when the engines cold get sure you remove the radiator cap and verify that the radiator is full as resourcefully as the reservoir bottle to the "cold fill level". You can look right through the warning indicator as long as it's not red contained by color. Any red dash storm lantern indication means stop the sports car. Read your manual.
