ABS desk light keep hold of coming on....Why?

i jus got a vauxhall vectra and the ABS reading light keeps comin on. Initially it didnt, but after in the order of 50 miles....it came on. is this everyday? and why does this happen?

thank you

Answers:    yes its mundane and usually a fault near one of the abs sensors fitted onto each tiller. it will disable the whole abs system so as no wheel lock up when the abs kicks within. so you are only running on standard brakes alone best to bring it seen by your vauxhall garage asap.
Even though the street lamp goes out, the error code is stored within the computer, and when the shop reads the codes out they'll return with clues as to whether it's a wheel sensor problem and which tiller it is.
