Fuel pumps?

on that 85 crown victoria fuel problem i added a lil bit ago. it appears that this car have a low pressure pump and a high pressure pump. are you adjectives thinking it the high pressure pump going discouraging?

Answers:    Two fuel systems were used by Ford, if you hold the two pump system just check to see if fuel is getting to the illustrious pressure pump.
If you have the one pump check pressure at the engine.

Two different electric fuel pump configurations be used on fuel injected models. One consists of a low pressure in-tank boost pump in conjunction next to an external, frame-mounted high pressure pump. The low pressure pump is used to provide pressurized fuel to the inlet of the glorious pressure pump and helps prevent hullabaloo and heating problems. System pressure is controlled by a pressure regulator mounted on the engine.

The other configuration consists of an in-tank big pressure pump which does not utilize a boost pump.
