Answers: That is the best question I hold ever seen on this website.
Airbags enjoy been on cars since around 1990 (not sure exactly). A set of airbags, if you could attain them, would cost more than the total value of most cars that are over 10 years feeble. I would not be surprised to one day find out some state inspection requirement would require you to prove the airbags installed within your vehicle have not exceeded some predetermined shelf or use go.
Think about it a minute, especially for cars contained by hot climate areas, the airbags are subjected to very high-ranking temperatures, if the run pad cracks due to the warmth, what is happening to the airbag? A sports car with the window rolled up can reach 135 degree +, how much of that heat is spellbound by the airbag?
I have be in Aviation Maintenance and logistics for over 45 years, most, save all, aviation fabric/rubber seal and safety items own a finite life. I am sure as soon as one of these old-fashioned cars in involved within an accident where on earth the airbag failed some advocate will sue someone because they did not establish a finite life for the airbags. The result will be sanctuary inspections requiring airbags to be replaced at a specific time interval. The end result will be tens of thousands of elder cars will be forced off the road. The unusual car manufacturer will just love it.
I'm sure that since they've beed around longer in a minute they have a better apprehension of how long they actually second and are still safe.
