I own this 2000 model grand prix 3.1 and the cranium gasket is blow now i close to to know is it better to put a used engine in the or put different head gasket.If i hold to put new engine surrounded by where can if find a used engine i don't enjoy alot of money so please can someone give me a virtuous advice thank you
Answers: vastly unusual for the head gasket to step on that engine, it's usually the intake gasket that goes, better doublecheck the prognosis.
Since it's a 2000 I doubt near will be many of those contained by the junk patio. Maybe find one that's been wrecked and buy it (from a private party). There's a place call " american engine exchange" there may be one close you, if you decide to enjoy the head gasket replaced, shop around, I'd suggest you buy the parts and telephone call five or six shops to see how much they will charge for the labor
