I have a 92 Acura Legend standard tranny. Sometimes when I release the clutch within 2nd in grinds horribly. Sometimes it works fine and sometimes it works for a few second, then grinds again. All other gears work impeccably. What could be wrong?
Answers:
It may not be engaging completely into 2nd. If there's linkage on the side of the trans, adjust it. If it's a 'top loader', check the engagement slots & look for wear ( you'll see plastic ) below yer shifter. =^ )
you could just be shifting too hasty or your clutch is going bad and second gear will be in motion out sometime soon
