Will extending straight pipes trade name the thud step down?

I recently took the muffler of of my Toyota pickup (4-cylinder, 2.4 liter). It is drastically loud at the moment. I was wondering if I would extend straight pipes to the spinal column of the truck (about 6 or 7 feet) would that muffle the noise and breed it better, or would it still be the same?

Answers:    dance to a auto parts store and tell them you want a chalice pack........ its only 20bucks, and u weld it on.........
the function a motor sounds good.......is the muffler is .......tuned........
bet you will close to the way it sounds!
Drive it till its honest and hot.......then spray marine on the muffler"glass pack"
it will trademark the inside crackle and will be loud again........but in tune....
It will nouns better . It will be just as loud and tight to drive.
It would just move the nouns back away from the hackney cab, but only be a tiny bit smaller number loud. You need baffle to lessen sound, but next you have a muffler, not a straight pipe!
